October is nearly over, but the Fall is definitely upon us. With the leaves changing colour, and the frost hitting the ground, change is evident all around us, the turning of a season is now! The Fall is great isn't it? It includes time around the fire with the family, the anticipation of our children heightening for Halloween night, and if you are truly Canadian, the NHL puck drop of course!

One of the best things about October for many families is the opportunity to prepare wonderful meals together and enjoy them as a family in Thanksgiving. Oh, the taste of warm Turkey and creamy gravy brings us back every time! Now that the left overs are finally gone (Hopefully) we invite you to gather the family again and join us at one of the Pantry locations. Let's face it whether it is the Fall, Summer, Spring or Winter, every family needs a time to escape the kitchen and come somewhere that feels just like home, with food just the way mom makes it. If you're looking for suggestions for lunch, how about the Meatloaf Sandwich? It features oven baked meatloaf on grilled garlic bread and it's served with crispy golden fries. Or, how about our Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, which has slices of slow roasted Canadian Angus Beef, stacked on thick French bread & topped with rich beef gravy. You can't go wrong with either of these two choices!

We also spent a little time digging up some tasty recipes we found from some folks online. The first is pumpkin cupcakes with maple frosting and the second is roasted carrots with cardamom butter!
